The Fond du Lac County Labor Council does not organize workers into unions, but we do support our affiliated unions in their efforts to do so.
In order to build a strong community that supports working families, we are active in legislative initiatives. We learn about and back candidates that support working families. We are involved in issues that are important to our community.
We are focused on workers regardless of who they are or what they do, because we believe that all workers deserve a voice in the workplace.
The Council is comprised of delegates who are members of unions, labor organizations or labor associations from within Fond du Lac County that are affiliated with the AFL-CIO and the Fond du Lac County Labor Council. We currently represent seventy affiliated unions and associations.
The Council meets at 7:00pm on the first Monday of every month in the Fond du Lac County Labor Hall, which is located at 50 East Bank Street, Fond du Lac, Wisconsin 54937.
During our meetings the delegates discuss areas of interest to the local labor community such as wage standards, contract negotiations, media campaigns, strike strategies, safety procedures, legislative agendas and community service.
Annual events include our Solidarity Dinner in March and the September Labor Day picnic in Lakeside Park. We also sponsor the Sounds of Christmas in Lakeside Park during the Christmas Holiday season.
Thank you for visiting us and come back often to learn more about us and what we're doing.
